About Us:

Pet Gotcha Day! is the state-of-the-art pet adoption site, owned by the Pet Gotcha Day Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity. Pet Gotcha Day! uses both fully immersive 360-degree video technology as well as standard video to get all pets adopted. We feature furry, hairy and scaly pets from over 3,000 shelters and rescues nationwide. Fully immersive video is powerful as it allows the adopter to be transported, virtually, to the pet prior to meeting them in person. The adopter feels as if they are experiencing the pet’s environment alongside of them. They feel as if they are playing with the pet, seeing how they interact with volunteers or other pets and will get a sense of the pet’s characteristics that make them unique. Immersive video brings the pet to life which creates an emotional connection and a sense of urgency to adopt since the pet feels real. The site is free for shelters, rescues and adopters. There are many benefits in addition to helping pets put their best paw forward including allowing adopters to ‘meet’ the pets that can’t join during on-site adoption events. 360 video and adoptable pets…what’s not to love?

The site and Foundation are growing! We are developing tools to integrate everything a pet owner needs in one application. As a summer intern, you will play a pivotal role in helping set the stage for growth. We are looking for fresh faces who are tech forward to help us with brand revitalization and digital marketing efforts. Given we are a non-profit, we are a very lean organization. As a summer intern you will have the opportunity to identify opportunities for the Foundation. This role is part-time and unpaid. However, you will gain skills that are resume building.

This is an important role as everything we do leads to adoptable pet lives saved and happy adopters!
